To start, take a 10 minute trip to the picturesque village of Kilfenora where you will find the Burren Centre. This centre gives the visitor an introduction to the visual delights and ancient mysteries which await to be discovered in this unspoiled corner of Ireland. This walk through time will take you back through the aeons to a time when this area lay beneath a warm tropical sea. From Kilfenora take the scenic and magical journey into the Burren, this is well worth an afternoon drive. 

Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience Cliffs of Moher

Europe's most spectacular sea cliffs. Looming over County Clare's west coast, the magnificent Cliffs of Moher stretch for 8 km and 214 meters over the Atlantic Ocean.  Unknown to many, the Cliffs are home to one of Ireland's largest nesting seabird colony with 30,000 nesting seabirds.  The wonderful Cliffs and Visitors Expereince are located only a 10 minute drive from the hotel.

This cave is home to the most amazing eco-tourist attraction. It contains the longest Stalactite in the northern Hemisphere, measuring 23ft in length. Tours run every hour on the hour and it is located only 20 minutes drive from the hotel.

Caherconnell Fort Caherconnell Fort

Ireland's Only Stone Fort Vitual Tour!  Built over 1,000 years ago, Caherconnell is the only fort in the Burren scientifically excavated and developed for tourism.  The fort is located only 20 minutes drive from the hotel, it is a wonderful place to spend a morning or afternoon and is suitable for all age groups.

Michael Cusack born in Carron in 1847, founded the largest amateur sporting organisation in the world, the GAA.  This centre is located in the original homestead and incorporates the family cottage. 

Burren Perfumery and Floral Centre www.burrenperfumery.com

The perfumery workshop produces a high quality range of organic handmade soaps, creams and perfumes.  It has a free audio visual presentation on the local flora and landscape plus the relaxing tea rooms offer a great selection of freshly baked organic cakes.  It is located only 20 minutes drive from the hotel.

When you visit Bunratty's 19th centuury Folk Park, you experience a reconstrucation of the homes and environment of over a century ago. It is located off the motorway between Shannon and Limerick on the M18, approximately 45 minutes from the hotel.
